College Heights Trail System

A network of paved and dirt paths connects neighbourhood parks, playgrounds and sports facilities in College Heights. The 6.4 km figure describes the network rather than one prescribed hiking loop.
1. Getting there and parking
Access is spread throughout College Heights. For the North College Park section, the City lists entrances from Eton Avenue, Monahan Crescent, Moriarty Crescent and Simon Fraser Avenue. Choose the park or neighbourhood entrance nearest the section you intend to walk; there is no single trailhead for the whole network. Check street parking restrictions and keep residential driveways clear.
2. Walking the route
Use the park paths to create a short return walk or connect several neighbourhood parks. Fairmont, Gladstone, North College and Jean de Brebeuf parks have playgrounds, while other sections pass ball fields and outdoor rinks. Walking surfaces change between pavement and dirt, although the overall network is described as relatively flat. Keep the local street layout handy when linking segments, because a park-path connection may lead into a different neighbourhood rather than back to the entrance. Sports fields and playground areas have their own pet restrictions.
3. Route map
City mapped trail segments / park network; not a single measured hiking itinerary
