A short forest approach ends beside an approximately 8 m waterfall southeast of Vanderhoof. The final descent is steeper than the easy woodland start, and the different published distance estimates should be treated as approximate.

1. Getting there and parking

From Prince George follow Highway 16 west to Vanderhoof, then turn onto Kenney Dam Road and continue past Saik’uz. The route changes from pavement to gravel before the Kenney Dam–Kluskus–Telegraph road junction. Turn left onto Kluskus Forest Service Road and look for the large gravel parking area on the right at the 37.5 km road marker. The district describes the junction as about 22 km from Vanderhoof and the trail about 18 km beyond it; the road marker is not distance from the junction. Allow for industrial traffic and changing gravel-road conditions.

Parking: Use the gravel parking area on the right of Kluskus Forest Service Road near its 37.5 km marker.

2. Walking the route

Leave the gravel lot on the forest footpath to Greer Creek. The path descends more steeply near the creek and reaches the base of the waterfall, where a picnic table and outhouse are reported. Return on the same trail, with the climb concentrated near the falls. Published estimates range from roughly 1.2 km to 1.7 km for the approach and about 3 km for a return outing, so use the selected route’s stated scope. Some descriptions promote stroller access, but the steep final slope and drop-offs mean the entire route should not be treated as uniformly accessible. Keep away from slippery edges and assess the water independently of older swimming recommendations.

  1. Follow the forest path from the parking area toward Greer Creek.
  2. Descend the steeper final section to the waterfall viewpoint and picnic area.

The return

Return by the same trail, including the climb back from the creek. Published approach lengths differ between guides; the ordinary club outing is about 3 km return.
