Vanderhoof & Fraser Lake / Full trip pack

Greer Creek recreation site

https://hikingprincegeorge.com/hikes/greer-creek-recreation-site

A small four-site camping area on the Nechako River below the mouth of Greer Creek. This river campsite is separate from the Greer Creek Falls hiking trailhead on Kluskus FSR.

1. Getting there and parking

From Vanderhoof follow Kenney Dam Road south for approximately 54 km to the recreation-site access road. Use the signed campground access and verify current road and recreation-site status before travelling. Do not follow the waterfall trailhead directions at the Kluskus 37.5 km marker: that is a different location.

  1. From Vanderhoof, drive approximately 54 km south on Kenney Dam Road to the recreation-site access.

2. At the campsite

The published facility is a small river camping area, with tent sites, pit toilets and boat access noted. No measured on-site hiking circuit or direct walking connection to Greer Creek Falls is established in the reviewed listing. Use the designated sites and public river access, keeping clear of unstable banks and leaving room at the launch. A separate drive is needed if combining the stay with the falls walk. Confirm current site rules and availability through Recreation Sites and Trails BC rather than assuming the small number of sites guarantees space.
