Reports describe the cited dates. An expected reopening date does not establish reopened access.
A private Salmon River campground north of Prince George with tent and RV choices. The operator currently says the 2026 season has ended and reopening is intended for May 2027, subject to river conditions.
1. Getting there and parking
Heading north on Highway 97 from Prince George, take the first right after the Salmon River bridge. Continue past the rest area and use the first driveway on the right. Approaching from the north, follow the large blue rest-area sign and turn left at the bottom of the hill, then take the same driveway after the rest area. Arrange a booking before arrival; the operator’s October 2026 page says the campground is closed until the next season.

2. At the campsite
For an open-season stay, select a tent or RV site through the operator rather than occupying a river-edge space informally. The campground advertises 35 sites, including 16 with power and water, together with flush toilets, hot showers and a guest dump station. River and forest sites are distinct choices. Minimum-stay rules can apply in July, August and on weekends. No measured hiking route within the property is established in the reviewed source. The stated target is the May long weekend in 2027 if river conditions allow, so confirm reopening before using this as a base for spring hikes.
