This short Kersley trail leads from the recreation-centre area toward a viewpoint over the Fraser River. The approximately 800 m route has a packed crushed-gravel surface, mostly gentle grades and one steeper section. The trailhead includes a map kiosk and accessible outhouse; the route is maintained through the Kersley community rather than being a remote mountain trail.

1. Getting there and parking

From Highway 97 at Kersley, enter Edwards Road and continue about 750 m to Arnoldus Road. Turn left and follow Arnoldus roughly 800 m, then turn right onto Parr Road. After approximately 1 km, turn left toward the recreation-centre access and continue about 400 m; the trailhead is on the right. These final approach distances are from the regional district’s published description. Use the trailhead map to confirm the viewpoint route.

Parking: Look for the signed trailhead near Kersley Recreation Centre after the Edwards Road, Arnoldus Road and Parr Road approach.

2. Walking the route

Follow the accessible path from the kiosk toward the Fraser River viewpoint, staying on the maintained crushed-gravel route. Expect a steeper section among the generally easy grades and choose an earlier turnaround if it exceeds your mobility needs. The district publishes an 800 m trail length without specifying a separate measured return circuit, so allow for retracing the path. This route is distinct from the rugged Two Sisters mountain outings near Wells and Chetwynd.

  1. Follow the crushed-gravel path from the kiosk to the Fraser River viewpoint.
  2. Expect one short steeper section among the otherwise gentle grades.

The return

Allow for the 800 m approach and the same-path return, approximately 1.6 km in total.
