Wineglass Falls drops into a deeply undercut rock recess east of Kersley. A short trail descends from a rough access road to the waterfall, with a recorded outing of about 1 km that depends on where the vehicle stops. An old mine opening behind the falls is sealed and is not a cave attraction or an entry point.

1. Getting there and parking

A dated August 2015 account approaches from Highway 97 at Kersley via French Road. Follow French Road for about 7 km, then follow the main road’s rightward bend onto Hill Lake Forest Service Road; the account specifically distinguishes that road from Hill Lake Road. Continue roughly 10 km to a fork and keep right. About 500 m farther, a short rough branch turns right toward the trail. The writer suggests parking before that branch and walking the last few hundred metres. Road alignments and signs may have changed since 2015, so check the approach against a current road map and recent local information. An April 13, 2026 visitor report still described the final kilometre as muddy and rutted.

2. Walking the route

Walk the rough final branch if necessary, then take the small path down the bank toward the waterfall. The recessed rock wall and plunge form the main viewing objective. Remain clear of unstable overhangs and slippery edges, and leave the sealed mine entrance undisturbed. Return by the same bank path and access road. The reviewed descriptions do not establish a signed alternate exit or an all-season drive to the lower parking point.

5. Camping, facilities and seasons

Season and access

The April 13, 2026 report found the outing largely snow-free but the final approach road muddy and rutted. It is a dated spring observation, not confirmation of present road condition or winter access.
