Getting there & parking
From Highway 97 at McLeod Lake, approximately 141 km north of Prince George, take the Carp Lake park access road. The main campground is about 32 km from the community. The gravel road is narrow in places, with tight corners, rough surfaces and industrial traffic. Spring breakup can make it unsuitable for some cars or trailers; check current conditions rather than relying only on the approximate two-hour drive quoted by BC Parks. Launch with a plan to reach Drumlin Bay; BC Parks identifies the trail as accessible only by boat, and does not provide a complete landing description on the overview page.
Map position: 54.72944, -123.41722 · lake destination reference; boat-access trail start unverified. Official BC Parks identifies the boat-access trail connecting DrumlinBay and DaceLake; Gazetteer point is DaceLake destination. OfficialGazetteerWGS84: 54 43 45 N 123 25 01 W. On the trail
Locate the established trail from Drumlin Bay toward Dace Lake using the park map and verified local navigation information. The official overview confirms the connection but does not publish its distance, detailed junctions, present clearing status or a dependable landing location. Those gaps need resolving before committing to the water crossing. Do not use the main campground’s 3 km loop measurement for this route. Retain a return plan to the boat and sufficient time for safe lake travel, since Carp Lake can develop strong wind and rough water.

Camping & overnight plans
