Elevation profile

A full-route elevation profile is not available yet.

A reusable trail line has not yet been verified for this outing. Any location pin shows the published location described above; it does not draw the hike or establish a navigable approach.

Getting there & parking

Start in John Dahl Regional Park near Skeena Drive in Mackenzie. The park is near the recreation centre and playground area; use the signed public-path entrances and identify the named loop on the park map. The regional district publishes year-round opening from 6 am to 11 pm. Nearby beach and recreation paths connect with the park but are additional walking.

Map position: 55.34020, -123.08474 · regional park published location pin; exact trail entry unverified. RDFFG map link contains explicit placepin!3d55.3401988!4d-123.0847408; its page identifies both named trails within JohnDahlRegionalPark. Park location shared by its two documented trails; not an exact trailhead or separate route geometry.

On the trail

Follow the signs for the Barb Dahl loop and use its marked return connection to finish the 2.2 km circuit. Viewpoints in the park look toward Morfee Lake, and the linked paths allow an extended walk if you deliberately add the other named loop. Keep those distances separate rather than treating every path as part of this route. In winter the park trails are groomed for cross-country skiing, so follow posted trail-use directions and protect the set ski tracks. The regional sources do not provide a measured cumulative elevation gain for this individual loop.

Conditions & seasons

Open year-round. The park trails are groomed for cross-country skiing in winter; follow current signs for permitted walking or snowshoe use.

Winter route

The park trails are groomed for cross-country skiing in winter. Follow the posted winter-use rules and keep off set ski tracks when those rules require it.

These are dated research notes. Open the trip planner for current available weather and advisory feeds; no alert found does not establish that a trail or road is open.
