Elevation profile

A full-route elevation profile is not available yet.

A reusable trail line has not yet been verified for this outing. Any location pin shows the published location described above; it does not draw the hike or establish a navigable approach.

Getting there & parking

Use the Mount Robson Welcome Centre area off Highway 16. The self-guided trail begins behind the visitor facilities, so start from the signed visitor-centre parking rather than driving up Kinney Lake Road to the Berg Lake Trail.

Map position: 53.03481, -119.22887 · visitor-centre reference for adjacent interpretive trail. Trip map explicitly names MtRobsonVisitorCenter at53.034814,-119.228868; BC Parks identifies Journey Through Time behind the Welcome Centre. Visitor-centre reference, not precise trail-start or parking position.

On the trail

  1. Find the interpretive trail behind the Welcome Centre and follow its signed route through the local forest.

Full route notes

Follow the interpretive path behind the Welcome Centre and use its signs to explore the park’s natural and human history. BC Parks lists a trail length of about 1 km. This is a short visit near the highway facilities, separate from the long mountain route to Kinney and Berg lakes. The source does not provide a measured gradient or a verified wheelchair-access classification, so the short distance alone should not be taken as an accessibility guarantee.

The way back

BC Parks publishes about 1 km of interpretive trail but does not provide a detailed turn sequence or state the distance basis on the page. Use the on-site map to choose the return to the Welcome Centre.

Conditions & seasons

Season-specific access has not been established in this guide. Read the dated notices and original land-manager information before choosing a departure date.

Robson watercraft and wading equipment restriction

From May 4, 2026, BC Parks prohibits watercraft and wading equipment throughout Mount Robson Park waters to limit aquatic disease spread. This includes powered and unpowered craft, inflatables, wading clothing and boots. The hiking trails are not closed by this notice.
