Map & elevation

Elevation profile

A full-route elevation profile is not available yet.

A reusable trail line has not yet been verified for this outing. Any location pin shows the published location described above; it does not draw the hike or establish a navigable approach.

Getting there & parking

Go to the Lucerne campground area beside Yellowhead Lake on Highway 16 in the eastern part of Mount Robson Park. Look for the signed interpretive trail beside the campground; it does not start at Mount Robson Welcome Centre.

Map position: 52.85021, -118.57483 · Lucerne campground reference for adjacent interpretive loop. OSMway591929998 gives LucerneCampground; BC Parks places LabradorTeaTrail beside this campground and its Lucerne map depicts the loop. Campground reference, not precise interpretive-loop entrance or parking.

On the trail

  1. Start beside Lucerne campground and follow the self-guided forest interpretive route. The reviewed park page does not publish a measured length or each junction.

Full route notes

Follow the self-guided interpretive route through mixed forest beside Lucerne campground and return to the campground area. BC Parks identifies this as a short local nature walk but does not publish a confirmed length or elevation gain on the page reviewed. The nearby Yellowhead Lake shore and swimming beach are separate features; do not assume the interpretive trail circles the whole lake.

Conditions & seasons

The neighbouring lake remains cold throughout the year. Snow and campground access affect a winter visit; the source does not document a maintained winter walking loop.

Robson watercraft and wading equipment restriction

From May 4, 2026, BC Parks prohibits watercraft and wading equipment throughout Mount Robson Park waters to limit aquatic disease spread. This includes powered and unpowered craft, inflatables, wading clothing and boots. The hiking trails are not closed by this notice.

Camping & overnight plans

Lucerne is the adjacent established campground. Confirm its operating season and booking arrangements separately; the interpretive path itself is not a tenting area.
