A reusable trail line has not yet been verified for this outing. Any location pin shows the published location described above; it does not draw the hike or establish a navigable approach.
Getting there & parking
From the east end of Prince George’s Yellowhead Bridge, follow Highway 16 for about 88 km to Hungary Creek. Roughly 300 m beyond the creek, turn right onto Hungary Creek Forest Road and stay on the main road. Grizzly Den parking is about 13 km in; Raven Lake parking is a further 2.6 km along the road. Check forestry-road conditions and choose the correct parking lot before applying either trail’s distance.

On the trail
Start at Grizzly Den and choose either the direct cabin approach through the upper meadow or the longer Leprechaun Ridge option. Both lead toward Pat’s Pass. From the pass, follow the marked crossover toward Raven Lake, then descend the Raven Lake trail to its separate road-end parking area. The middle of the trip is largely alpine and can require route-finding despite occasional markers. A Raven Peak detour is an additional off-route mountain objective, not an obligatory part of the crossover. Arrange a vehicle shuttle or explicitly include the roughly 2.6 km forest-road connection between parking areas in the day’s plan.
Terrain: alpine route · route finding · wet meadows.

Conditions & seasons
Hungary Creek Forest Road is not normally plowed in winter, which can add a long approach before the hiking trail. Avalanche terrain and snow-covered ground fissures require a separate winter route assessment. The alpine portions can be difficult to navigate in poor visibility in any season.
These are dated research notes. Open the trip planner for current available weather and advisory feeds; no alert found does not establish that a trail or road is open.
Camping & overnight plans
Raven Lake has designated tent pads; Grizzly Den has a designated tenting area. Wild tenting is also permitted elsewhere in the park. Reserve a cabin separately through PGBRS. Open fires are prohibited; cabin firewood is for the indoor stoves.
