Ten Mile Lake campgrounds
Ten Mile Lake is a practical vehicle-accessible base for Quesnel-area walks, with beaches, a boat launch and a forest trail network in the same provincial park. The park lists showers and flush toilets among its facilities. Overnight camping, day-use beach access and the nature trail have different purposes; book a campsite rather than treating a lakeside picnic or trail spot as a tent site.

A reusable trail line has not yet been verified for this outing. Any location pin shows the published location described above; it does not draw the hike or establish a navigable approach.
Getting there & parking
The provincial park is reached directly from Highway 97 approximately 12 km north of Quesnel. Follow the park’s campground signs to the booked camping area and the day-use signs for beaches and the walking trailhead. Check your reservation information and the official campground map for the correct loop and site before arrival. Winter ploughing to the first parking lot does not confirm that the campground is operating.
Map position: 53.06878, -122.44351 · official park map reference; campground entrance unverified. BC Parks detailed-map link explicitly publishes center=-122.443507,53.068781. Marker locates the associated park as chosen by BC Parks, not an individual campsite or verified campground entrance. Do not calculate trailhead driving distance from this point.
At the campsite
For a walk from the camping base, use the official park map to reach the day-use lot. The self-guided nature trail starts opposite the picnic shelter and heads through forest and along an old rail alignment to a beaver pond. Its published length is approximately 2 km; the surrounding park has about 10 km of trails in total. Beach visits, paddling and the larger trail network can be combined with camping without assuming one fixed hiking circuit.
Conditions & seasons
Season-specific access has not been established in this guide. Read the dated notices and original land-manager information before choosing a departure date.
Winter route
The park trails are used for winter cross-country skiing. Winter day access does not imply that either campground gate or summer facilities are operating.
These are dated research notes. Open the trip planner for current available weather and advisory feeds; no alert found does not establish that a trail or road is open.
Camping & overnight plans
Use BC Parks reservations and current campground notices for opening dates, availability and permitted equipment. Published facilities include showers, flush toilets, a boat launch and beaches. Pets must be leashed and are not allowed on the beaches or in park buildings; off-road vehicles are prohibited in the park.
