Elevation profile
A full-route elevation profile is not available yet. The mapped paths have not been verified as one continuous outing.
Choose a specific route where available. Individual map fragments are not shown as separate hike stages.
Mapped trail network. Shows the named source trail. The full published outing, return journey and current on-the-ground alignment are not independently established by this line. Line source (opens original source).
Getting there & parking
Start at Centennial Park or the Valemount Visitor Centre, both identified by the local trail guide. The signed route follows Fifth Avenue and parts of Dogwood and Main streets, so it can also be joined from downtown. Use public parking and the marked railway and street crossings.
Estimated drive from Prince George: 3 hr 59 min · 292.7 km. Modeled one-way driving time from Prince George City Hall, using mapped road speeds. Forest-road sections can take substantially longer: surface, clearance, radio procedures, gates, washouts, plowing, and legal access are not verified by the router. No live traffic or invented forest-road multiplier is included. Allow extra time and check the dated access notes.

On the trail
Follow the paved village route between the highway/hotel area, downtown Fifth Avenue and historic Main Street. The complete loop is about 3.64 km and passes benches, interpretive panels, the playground and local amenities. It is a town walking circuit rather than a forest trail, with road crossings and a railway crossing as part of the outing. The local guide describes the route as suitable for wheelchairs, strollers, bicycles and rollerblades, but the railway surface and current winter conditions still require individual assessment.
Terrain: paved.
Accessibility
YORA describes this paved, curb-free route as suitable for wheelchairs and strollers, with a steepest grade of about 10%. Bathrooms are at Centennial Park and the Visitor Centre.
Conditions & seasons
The route is used in spring, summer and autumn, with occasional winter ice noted by the guide. A paved surface does not establish continuous winter clearing or ice treatment.
These are dated research notes. Open the trip planner for current available weather and advisory feeds; no alert found does not establish that a trail or road is open.
Camping & overnight plans
On-route camping permission has not been established for this outing. Check the relevant land manager before planning an overnight stay; a mapped lake, cabin or previous tent location does not confirm permission.
