Outing: loop outing from Upper parking trail entrance; 2.87 km along the mapped itinerary
Copernicus DEM 2021 GLO-90 via Open-Meteo (90 m resolution). v7-smoothed-ascent-1: interpolate retained terrain samples at 100 m spacing; apply one triangular 1:2:1 smoothing pass over ±100 m; preserve start, finish and documented turnaround heights; sum uphill excursions with a 5 m reversal threshold; round to nearest 10 m.
Approximate terrain-model ascent, not a field or GPS measurement. Coarse cells and smoothing can miss small climbs, switchbacks, structures and sharp terrain. Processing sensitivity is not a statistical confidence interval.

Map and elevation sources
Approximate ground elevation from a 90 m terrain model. Distance follows the mapped itinerary and may differ from published walking distance. This is a terrain-model profile, not a surveyed measurement. Any ascent total is identified separately with its own source or estimation method.
The operator's November 2025 Nordic map identifies the upper parking access, Greenway Corridor and Pine Flats; its summer guide permits hiking on the Nordic network. The selected OSM paths have those exact names and two-way direction tags. From the mapped upper-parking connector, the route follows Greenway west, turns north on Pine Flats and returns east to the same access junction. The short parking connector is retraced. All joins and closure are exact source-vertex matches. This is a specifically assembled summer walking circuit, not a claim that the entire Nordic network is one hike or that winter walking on ski tracks is permitted.
Use the club facility at 8141 Otway Road and follow signs to the upper parking area. The mapped walk begins at the upper-parking trail entrance, not at the road-address pin or inside the lodge.
Estimated drive from Prince George: 15 min. Published approximate drive, not a live routing result; no specific downtown start or traffic conditions supplied.
Map position: 53.97105, -122.87332 · official address-geocoder road access point for operator-published street address. Club publishes 8141 Otway Road. BC Address Geocoder matched that address at CIVIC_NUMBER precision with score 100 and accessPoint descriptor; positional accuracy medium. This marks road access to the facility, not an individual trail start.
On the trail
From the upper-parking trail entrance, follow its short connector to the Pine Flats and Greenway junction. Take Greenway Corridor southwest and stay on that named corridor past the Larch Loop junctions. At the western junction, turn north onto Pine Flats, then follow Pine Flats east to the original junction. Retrace the short connector to upper parking. Use current signs at each intersecting trail; do not divert onto downhill-only bike tracks.
Terrain: forest tracks · shared multi-use paths.
Distance and elevation source notes
Distance is calculated from the licensed OSM line including the retraced access connector. No published route-specific gain has been established.
Conditions & seasons
Summer walking only. During the ski season use the separate authorized snowshoe network and pass arrangements. Check scheduled events and on-site signs before entering any paved portion.
Winter day-pass prices checked October 17, 2026
Published snowshoe day passes: adult/senior $10; junior, adaptive or full-time student $6; family $25. Ski passes: $25, $18 and $60 respectively. Prices include GST; children under six and qualifying adaptive support people are free. Verify the current rate before purchase.
These are dated research notes. Open the trip planner for current available weather and advisory feeds; no alert found does not establish that a trail or road is open.
On-route camping permission has not been established for this outing. Check the relevant land manager before planning an overnight stay; a mapped lake, cabin or previous tent location does not confirm permission.
