Swift Creek Loop — Swift Creek Lookout
Follow the broad gravel path beside Swift Creek for about the first kilometre, then take the climbing trail to the lookout. The final approach is considerably steeper than the initial creek walk, with local grades around 25 percent despite modest overall gain. The viewpoint opens over Valemount, Canoe Mountain and the Premier Range. Return by the same path for the approximately 3.6 km outing. Continuing beyond the lookout joins the much longer Swift Creek loop and requires a different junction and distance plan.

Getting there & parking
From central Valemount, follow Fifth Avenue east across the railway tracks, turn left onto Main Street and continue roughly 1 km. The local guide describes parking on the west side of the road near the bridge, opposite Golden Years Lodge. The creek trail begins immediately beyond the bridge on the right. Keep driveways and the bridge approach clear.
