A reusable trail line has not yet been verified for this outing. Any location pin shows the published location described above; it does not draw the hike or establish a navigable approach.
Getting there & parking
Follow Bowron Lake Road approximately 17 km from its Highway 26 junction, then turn left onto the 2400 Road at marker 2476. Road markers count downward on this approach. About 4 km in, at 2472, a sign points to parking below the road. The trail society describes space for two cars at the trailhead around 500 m farther, but use it only if current industrial traffic and parking conditions permit. The access road remains a working road; leave room for vehicles to pass.

On the trail
The straightforward North Sister approach follows the steep gravel road to the old lookout. To continue to South Sister by the road option, the steward’s account leaves the road roughly 500 m before the turn up to the lookout, descends through the col and climbs the opposite summit ridge. South Sister’s last approximately 500 m requires hands and includes exposure. A meadow alternative leaves the road at the large switchback around 3.3 km, follows flags past a small plywood structure into successive meadows, then follows a creek uphill. Flagging ends; around 4 km, leave that creek to the left before it leads into a cliff-bound dead end, and work up steep meadows to the col. This alternative requires competent route finding and the steward’s map. Return along a known ascent rather than assuming any alpine gully reconnects with the road.

930 m
Caledonia Ramblers publishes 7 km and 5–6 hours without resolving the distance basis or exact summit. WATS gives 15 km return for South Sister. These are competing or differently scoped claims, not two separately measured hikes.
The named reusable OSM line is Two Sisters Lookout Trail. It does not establish a complete South Sister scramble itinerary.
Conditions & seasons
Season-specific access has not been established in this guide. Read the dated notices and original land-manager information before choosing a departure date.
These are dated research notes. Open the trip planner for current available weather and advisory feeds; no alert found does not establish that a trail or road is open.
Camping & overnight plans
The old lookout on North Sister is described by the trail society as emergency shelter. That is not confirmation of a maintained overnight hut, reservable space or tenting permission. Carry appropriate shelter for an overnight plan and verify local rules.
